History is a spiral – it moves forward, and it cycles at the same time. This is not how history is experienced in real time, but how it is recalled in the long-term memory of human brains. Metaphysics and the actual physics of the universe may follow this principle too, even if it isn’t readily perceptible to humans – much like the branching principle of the collapse of the waveform function in the Many-Worlds Theory, of quantum mechanics.
